June 1 2025:
Filing Fees set to increase 1 July
As of 1 July 2025, Australia’s visa application charges (VACs) will increase across several visa subclasses. These adjustments, made by the Department of Home Affairs, reflect inflation and rising processing costs.
Each subclass will see increases both in main applicant fees and in secondary applicant charges.
Why the increases?
The Department cites two main reasons:
- Adjustments for inflation and operating costs
- Aiming to better recoup actual processing and service delivery expenses
