Each type of visa has its own processing timeframes.

Australian Immigration advertise estimated timeframes – we will keep you informed of their advice on timing.

Timeframes may be a matter of weeks, but sometimes the process can take months. Don’t make plans to travel to Australia until you are advised to do so, usually when your visa is granted.

This depends on which visa you apply for, and what passport you hold.

Different levels of English language ability are required for each visa category.

We’ll let you know if you need to take an English test, where to take it, and what minimum scores are required.

All persons must meet the health criteria for Australian visa grant.

Generally, this means you will need to undertake visa medicals. These medicals must be completed at a panel Doctor authorised by Immigration to manage visa medicals. We’ll send you the relevant instructions.

If there is a health or character concern, you may still obtain a visa, but will require expert handling and advice. We can assist.  

All persons must meet the character criteria for Australian visa grant. This may require you to provide police certificates.

For some visas, police certificates are mandatory.

We’ll let you know if you need police certificates and provide you with instructions on how to obtain them.
