The program emphasizes the following priority sectors:

–  #Agriculture and  #Agrifood

– Advanced Manufacturing

NSW has released skills lists for the 2024-25 program year, categorized by ANZSCO unit groups. There are distinct lists for the Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190) and the Skilled Work Regional visa (subclass 491). All occupations within an identified unit group that qualify for these visas are eligible for NSW nomination. It is important to note that the Department of Home Affairs determines the eligibility of occupations for each visa, so applicants should confirm their occupation’s eligibility before proceeding with a skills assessment.

Invitation rounds for NSW nomination for the subclass 190 visa will commence shortly and will occur regularly until the allocation is filled. To ensure eligibility, applicants are advised to keep their SkillSelect Expression of Interest (EOI) updated and to be prepared to provide valid supporting documentation for all claims made.

NSW nomination pathways for the Skilled Work Regional visa (subclass 491), specifically Pathway 1 and Pathway 3, will open soon. Detailed eligibility criteria for both pathways are available on the NSW Government website. Prospective applicants should review these criteria carefully to ensure they meet the requirements before applying.
