August 2 2024:
Relaxed assesesment of the GTE for TSS Sponsored Work Visa
Effective 2 August 2024, the assessment process for the Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) requirement for the Subclass 482 Temporary Skills Shortage visa – Short Term Stream – will be streamlined.
This change will make it easier for applicants to secure a Subclass 482 TSS visa for occupations on the Short Term Skilled Occupation List (STOSL).
The Department will now generally assume that applicants intend to stay in Australia temporarily, unless there are specific concerns. This update aims to simplify the application process, reduce complexity, and allow Sponsored Employers to bring skilled workers on board more quickly.
This is great news for both Employers and Skilled Workers.
